PANE IN THE GLASS PRODUCTIONS

OH, WHAT A HELL OF A DAY

Zippity doo daa, zippity aah –
A lightning bolt struck the antennae today.
The TV’s gone and the microwave, too.
What in the world am I gonna do?

Oh, what a beautiful morning.  Oh, what a beautiful day.
My paycheck bounced, and the bills, I can’t pay.
Oh, what a hell of a day.

Zippity doo daa, zippity aah –
They repossessed my car today.
The sail boat’s next, and then my house,
And I’m feeling like such a louse.

Zippity doo daa, zippity aah –
Maybe if I keep singing this way,
I’ll disappear, and my problems will, too,
And the credit card people won’t have to sue.

Oh, what a beautiful morning.  Oh, what a beautiful day.
Now everything’s gone.  No reason to stay.
Oh, what a hell of a day.

Zippity doo daa, zippity aah –
I’m starting all over on my life today.
I’m leaving this town with the shirt on my back.
Now, maybe I’m moving on the right track.

Oh, what a beautiful morning.  Oh, what a beautiful day.
The soup kitchen’s closed, no jobs that will pay.
Oh, what a hell of a day,
And I don’t think it’s going away.
